Business Chambers and Trader Groups Program Round Two

Overview
Up to 30 grants of $20,000 each are available for business chambers and trader groups to deliver activities or programs that maximise business participation in initiatives across Victoria.
Round Two of the program aims to support business chambers and trader groups to run locally-led initiatives between 1 January and 30 April 2022 that:
enable local business collaboration
educate, inform and empower small businesses
support small businesses to build digital capability
help members transition into recovery and restart.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for a grant, the business chamber or trader group must:
be based in Victoria
be a not-for-profit member organisation with a membership of businesses
service a specific Victorian geographic area (e.g. shopping strip, suburb/town)
have the core purpose of acting for its members
hold a current Australian Business Number (ABN)
be registered with the responsible federal or state regulator or local council.
Unincorporated organisations and organisations with an ABN registered after 1 September 2020 will need to have a local council enter into the grant agreement on their behalf.
Application Process
Business chamber and trader groups will apply online at the Business Victoria website. Applications will be open from 28 October 2021 until 11:59 pm on 26 November 2021.
As part of the application, business chambers and trader groups must include a capability statement that includes:
core competencies and experience
local business issues to be addressed through the funded activities.

Regional Jobs Fund

Overview
The Regional Jobs Fund (RJF) looks to support projects which create employment opportunities across industry sectors where regional competitive advantage exists. This includes, but is not limited to:
food and fibre
advanced manufacturing
professional services
new energy technology
medical technology, life sciences and healthcare
transport, defence and construction technology.
Eligibility
The Regional Jobs Fund is primarily a regional business development program. Individuals are not eligible to apply under this program. Applications will be considered from:
private sector businesses
business and industry groups including:
chambers of commerce and business associations
industry peak bodies
business and industry clusters and networks.

Regional Community Events Fund

Overview
The Regional Community Events Fund will support small events in rural and regional communities across Victoria. The RCEF focus is on community events for locals.
Support will go towards a range of costs associated with hosting events in a COVIDSafe environment, including density limit management, record keeping, and good hygiene practices and marketing activities. Grants will be available up to $25,000.
Eligibility
Support will be considered for events that:
are public community events
demonstrate financial and
organisational capacity to
successfully deliver the event;
are inclusive, enhance
community wellbeing and social
connectedness; and
can demonstrate community
economic benefit.
Application Process
All applications for the RCEF grant will be managed through the following process:
#Step 1 - Applicants are required to submit an online application via smartygrants link.
#Step 2 - Applications will be assessed competitively against the eligibility and assessment criteria for the program.
#Step 3 - Successful applicants will receive an official letter of offer from the Minister for Regional Development.
#Step 4 - Successful applicants will enter into a funding agreement with the Victorian Government, managed by Visit Victoria.
