In line with the new TASA Code of Conduct, we are pleased to announce updates to our compliance requirements that will come into effect on 1 July 2025.
These changes, outlined in the Tax Agent Services (Code of Professional Conduct) Determination 2024, have been introduced to ensure that our clients are well-informed and supported through every stage of their engagement with our services. Transparency, accountability, and adherence to professional standards remain our top priorities.
Access to the TPB Register and Practitioner Details
Under the new requirements, clients are now provided with direct access to the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) Register. This public register allows you to verify the credentials of your tax practitioner easily, ensuring you can have confidence in the services provided. We encourage our clients to review their details by visiting the Practitioner Details page on the TPB website for the most up-to-date information.
Complaints Process and Client Guidance
Should any issues arise, our updated compliance framework includes a clear and concise complaints process. If you have any concerns regarding the tax services provided, you can file a complaint with the TPB. For your convenience, a sample statement is available: “If you have any concerns regarding the tax services provided, you may file a complaint with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). More details on the complaints process can be found here: TPB Complaints.” This process ensures that your voice is heard and that any matters are dealt with promptly and professionally.
Client Rights, Responsibilities and Compliance Overview
The new TASA Code of Conduct also reinforces the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of both our clients and tax practitioners. At this time, we confirm that there have been no prescribed events occurring in the last five years, nor are there any prescribed matters currently applying. For a detailed explanation of your rights and responsibilities, we recommend reviewing the TPB’s Client Factsheet available at Information for Clients Factsheet. This resource provides comprehensive guidance to help you navigate these changes with ease.
