Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship grants open now

Applications are now open for the Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship grants program. Grants from $500,000 to $1 million are available to broaden the scope of existing successful projects.

Who is this for?

Women in STEM and Entrepreneurship grants encourage participation of girls and women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics leading to STEM education and careers which help achieve gender equity in the fields.


This grant opportunity provides funding to grow and expand existing projects that support women and girls, regardless of their background, to build STEM skills and succeed in high-growth employment areas.


Who can apply?

You can apply if you meet the eligibility criteria in the grant opportunity guidelines, in particular, requirements for an eligible entity, an eligible project, and eligible expenditure.


You are an eligible entities if you:

  • have an Australian business number (ABN)

  • are an entity, incorporated in Australia

  • are a publicly funded research organization (PFRO) or publicly funded research agency (PFRA) (Guidelines Section 14)

  • are a government or non-government vocational education and training (VET) provider (Guidelines Section 14), or technical and further education (TAFE) institution

  • are an incorporated not-for-profit organization.
